What is a scope change proposal?
A scope change proposal describes work outside the original project agreement, the additional fee, and any change to the timeline. Send it before starting the extra work so your client can review the change.
Is ScopeSlip free to use?
The editor, client message, and browser PDF printing are free. A confirmed account includes 3 shared client links. Plus costs $9 USD for 100 additional links, with no subscription. Taxes, if applicable, appear at checkout.
Does my client need an account?
No. Clients can open a shared link, review the proposal, and accept or decline with their name and a note. A decline requires a short reason. Anyone with the link can respond, and names are not independently verified.
Can I edit a proposal after sharing it?
A shared proposal is a fixed snapshot. Edit your draft and publish a new link to send a revision. You can disable an unanswered link from your workspace. Each new link uses one of your available links.
How long do shared links last?
Shared links remain accessible for 30 days unless you disable them first. Expired proposals remain in your workspace. Print a PDF if you need a separate copy.
Does ScopeSlip collect the client’s payment?
No. ScopeSlip records the proposed fee and the client’s response. Invoice and collect payment through your usual process. ScopeSlip does not provide certified electronic signatures or replace your original project agreement.
