Terms and conditions
Last updated 17 September 2026. These terms apply to ScopeOkay at scopeokay.com. By creating an account or using the editor, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What ScopeOkay does
ScopeOkay is a tool for describing work that falls outside an agreed project scope, pricing it, sharing it with a client through an expiring link, and recording whether that client accepted or declined. It is a small, independently operated product, not an enterprise platform.
ScopeOkay does not provide legal advice, verify anyone’s identity, produce a certified or qualified electronic signature, collect your client’s payment, issue invoices on your behalf, or replace your original project agreement. A response recorded through a client link is a typed name, a decision, an optional note, and a timestamp. It is a useful record of what was agreed; whether it is binding between you and your client depends on your own agreement and your local law.
Your account
You need a confirmed email address to publish client links. Keep your credentials secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through it. Accounts are for individuals and small studios; do not resell access or create accounts on someone else’s behalf without their knowledge.
You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live, and you must not use ScopeOkay if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
Your content
Your proposals, projects, templates, and billing notes remain yours. You grant ScopeOkay only the permission needed to operate the service: to store that content, display it to you, and display a published proposal to anyone holding its client link until the link expires or you disable it.
You are responsible for what you put into a proposal. Do not include passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information. Anyone holding an active client link can open the proposal, so share links only with the people who should see them.
If you add a client’s email address, you confirm you have a genuine working relationship with that person and a legitimate reason to contact them about the work described. ScopeOkay uses that address only to send that proposal and a copy of their response, never for marketing.
Acceptable use
Do not use ScopeOkay to send unsolicited bulk messages, to impersonate another person or business, for fraudulent or unlawful purposes, or to store content you have no right to store. Do not attempt to access another account’s data, interfere with the service, bypass usage limits, or use automated means to create accounts or client links at volume.
Plans, payment and refunds
The editor, live preview, client message, and browser PDF printing are free and require no account. A confirmed account includes 3 client links and 1 active project. Plus is a one-time $9 USD purchase, not a subscription: it adds 100 client links and unlocks 50 active projects, 50 custom templates, private invoice tracking, and unbranded newly shared proposals. Additional packs add 100 links each and do not raise the project or template limits.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. ScopeOkay never receives or stores your card details. Applicable taxes are shown before you pay, and your receipt comes from the payment provider.
Each published proposal consumes one link, including one you later disable or that expires unanswered. Links are not transferable between accounts and have no cash value.
If something has gone wrong with a purchase, contact hello@scopeokay.com and we will look at it. Where a refund is issued, the 100 links from that pack are removed from your balance; links already used are not restored, and proposals you already shared are unaffected. A payment that is refunded, charged back, or successfully disputed does not grant links.
Availability
ScopeOkay is offered as it is, without a guaranteed uptime level. Features may change, and parts of the service depend on third parties such as our hosting, database, email, and payment providers. We try to give notice of significant changes, but we may modify or discontinue features.
Keep your own copies of anything important. Printing a proposal to PDF takes a few seconds and is the simplest way to retain a permanent record independent of this service.
Ending your use
You can stop using ScopeOkay at any time and request deletion of your account and stored data by contacting hello@scopeokay.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or puts the service or other people at risk. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund any unused portion of a recent purchase where it is reasonable to do so.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, ScopeOkay is not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost or disputed client payments, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
You remain responsible for your agreements with your clients. A recorded acceptance is evidence of a response to a specific proposal, nothing more.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use ScopeOkay after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, contact us and we will put it right.
